Branding and design for a coliving and coworking space in Candelaria, Tenerife.

Overview
Maraya Coliving is a coliving and coworking space in Candelaria, Tenerife, redesigning community for people who work and live together.
As one of five co-founders, I have shaped Maraya’s creative direction since 2020, developing the brand identity from its underlying concept to its visual expression across digital and physical touchpoints. At its core was the idea of “under the sunny arch”, a reflection of the many arches found throughout the property and the never-ending sunshine of Tenerife.
This idea became the foundation for a distinctive identity, from custom typography and a palette of sun-bleached colours to a 70s-inspired photographic language. Rather than treating the brand as something separate from its surroundings, the aim was to create an identity that feels like a natural extension of the place itself.
Over the years, Maraya has become an ongoing exploration of how a brand can do more than represent a place: it can express its atmosphere, shape the experience of being there and bring a community together.

“We set out to create an atmosphere that makes people feel genuinely at home, not like guests.”

“Tenerife’s sun-bleached, colourful houses provided a natural starting point for the brand’s colour palette”
