Brand identity and interior design for a bakery and coffee bar in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Overview
Brezelita is a bakery and coffee bar in the centre of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, bringing traditional pretzel culture and specialty coffee into a contemporary, local setting.
As one of the three founders, I led the creative direction across the entire brand. From logo, typography and visual identity to communication and interior design. The concept brings something deeply familiar to us, into a culture where it is still new.
The identity combines a simplified pretzel with a custom Italian-inspired typeface (Brezelita Sans), Bavarian colours, Venetian stripes and checkerboard patterns. The visual language reflects the connection between Southern Germany and Northern Italy at the heart of the concept, while giving traditional references a modern context.
That idea continues into the interior, where the identity becomes physical through tiles, flooring, surfaces, signage and furniture. The system extends across menus, packaging, cups, bags, merchandise, website and social media.
Brezelita is a little Bavarian, a little Italian, a little Canary Islands, and deliberately just odd enough to spark curiosity.

"The identity bridges the gap between recognisably Bavarian, whilst not tapping into the typical cliché Oktoberfest look."

"Brezelita is a blend of Bavaria, Italy, and the Canary Islands, with a little twist, just like a pretzel."
